Spectroscopy plugin: Class not found

m.maciek
Hi all,

I have a problem with Spectroscopy Plugin (http://www.astro.physik.uni-goettingen.de/~hessman/ImageJ/Book/Image-based%20Spectroscopy/index.html). When I try to calibrate spectrum i have error: Class not found while attempting to run "Calibrate_Spectrum". java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: astroj/Ftisj

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Regards
Maciek

Hi Maciek,

Naive guess based on the error message: that plugin may require the
AstroImageJ [1] flavor of ImageJ. Did you install the Spectroscopy plugin
into AstroImageJ? Or plain ImageJ?

Curtis

Did you know ImageJ has a forum? http://forum.imagej.net/

Re: Spectroscopy plugin: Class not found

Frederic V. Hessman
As the error message says, you lack the astroj jar file mentioned in the original documentation (http://www.astro.physik.uni-goettingen.de/~hessman/ImageJ/Spectroscopy/ <http://www.astro.physik.uni-goettingen.de/~hessman/ImageJ/Spectroscopy/>).  The link you gave was a secondary installation help attached to my curriculum: I've corrected it to remind people one needs astroj (either separately for plain ImageJ without the vanilla Astronomy plugins or AstroImageJ - haven't tested whether the latter is fully compatible, though).
